What we can help with

  • Regardless of how much stress is impacting you, we can help you to regain a sense of control in your life. Our aim is to help you feel able to live your life in the way that you want – without giving up your ambitions, your career, or social activities.

  • When you see us for help with your anxiety, we will find out together how anxiety affects you, and we plan your sessions to address the impact it has on your life.

  • Learn how to disengage from worries and ruminations, so you can spend less of your time with these thoughts and more of your time engaging with your chosen activities.

  • Begin to adjust your expectations of yourself and/or others, and you can begin to accept “mistakes” and “failures” as natural parts of existing and even as opportunities to learn and develop.

  • Learn to deal differently with self-doubting thoughts and emotions, so they don’t determine what you do or stand in the way of your goals and your relationships.

  • We address the thought processes you are caught up in, and how you can deal with your thoughts differently. We will address the inertia and demotivation by reconnecting you with a sense of enjoyment and purpose.

  • Using CBT to treat insomnia, we look at both your thinking and behavioural habits – from waking until going to bed – which might impact on the quality or quantity of sleep you are getting.

  • Whether you are experiencing problems with your family, friends, or colleagues, we can explore these relationships, your role in them, and the options you might have to affect positive change in how you experience these relationships.

  • Losing a loved one is one of the most painful parts of life. It will inevitably happen to all of us.

If you are struggling to cope with your grief, psychological therapy can help you find a way through it.

  • Discover and connect with your values (what is important to you in the area of your life where you don’t feel fulfilled), and develop the skills needed to achieve your goals or to live your life in a meaningful way.
