GETTING STARTED

Starting psychological therapy is often daunting, while finding the right therapist can be difficult. For the therapy to be effective it is equally important that your therapist has the right expertise to help you, and that you feel comfortable and safe to work with the therapist you choose.

Before we arrange a first appointment I will always conduct a brief telephone conversation with you, so we can make an initial assessment of whether I am the right psychologist for you.

In the first 1-2 sessions we will discuss your current difficulties and how you can best be supported in addressing these. If we decide to work together, whether for a brief period or longer-term, I will ensure that the therapeutic conversations continue to be relevant to your goals and hopes for the therapy.
